Walmart

South Euclid, OH

Scope of Work

This new super-center was one of the first Walmart stores in the US to obtain LEED certification by the United States Green Building Council. Sustainable features include the white membrane roof that was constructed to reduce the “heat island” effect. Daylighting is utilized throughout the building that will result in a 25% reduction of artificial lighting needed. Heat reclamation of waste heat from the refrigeration system is used, and additional doors were constructed to the meat and cheese cases which resulted in an energy reduction of 20%.
