Outagamie County Materials Recycling Facility

Little Chute, WI

This $1,900,000 project was the result of a municipal partnership to provide single-stream recycling for Brown, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties. At its completion, this facility was the largest publically owned recycling center in the State of Wisconsin. The facility can process up to 80,000 tons of materials per year, which are then sold to private industry to be re-manufactured into a wide array of new products.

Immel constructed a 17,000 square foot pre-engineered metal building to house a tipping and sorting area. In order to deliver a clear floor space for sorting material, and to provide architectural interest, the steel structure was placed on the exterior of the wall panels. Also included in the 52,000 square foot project scope were new offices, factory, and baler area.
