Aldi

28,300 square foot build-out

Immel Construction has continued to provide construction services for Aldi, Inc. in several capacities including additional build-outs, renovations, and ground-up construction for new stores throughout Wisconsin.

Description

This discount grocery store chain expanded its presence in Ashwaubenon with a new build-out of a vacant store space. The atmosphere of the new store was created with the modern customer in mind, providing additional grocery and home item options and a more convenient shopping experience.

Aldi’s improved store design focuses on establishing a focus on fresh, having created more robust produce, dairy and bakery areas. To achieve this vision, Immel Construction renovated the existing 28,300 square foot space and constructed a new entry and exit facade to Aldi’s standards.

Aldi stores are required to participate in the EPA's GreenChill partnership, which recognizes retailers for using environmentally friendlier commercial refrigeration systems. Along with switching to environmentally friendly coolants, Aldi also recycles nearly 100% of their cardboard, paper, and plastic waste, increased their number of stores with rooftop solar panels, and utilize certain glass types to insulate and reduce heat from the sun.
