Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate

Position Details

This position is responsible for fulfillment and delivery, as required, of material and equipment requests from field personnel.  Assist in fleet management of company vehicles and tracking inventory of materials and tools in an inventory management program.  Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.  Works with all warehouse personnel.  This position will be a resource for the field staff for material and equipment needs

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintains all tools, equipment and inventory of materials.
  • Fulfills material and equipment requests.
  • Assists in warehouse organization.
  • Stock warehouse shelves with delivered and returned materials.
  • Maintains warehouse and parking lot from dirt and debris.
  • Loading and unloading of trucks
  • Pulling material from picklists and staging materials in warehouse
  • Delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Have and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and pass DOT physical
  • Demonstrated history of a consistent and safe driving record
  • Conducts daily safety vehicle inspections, maintains driver logs, and ensures proper load securement
  • Responsible for cleaning of all fleet vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools sent to projects.
  • Assists in the preventative maintenance of all tools and equipment.
  • Assist in maintenance of all fleet vehicles and trailers. Tire inspections, trailer lights, electrical.
  • May make repairs in house or deliver to outside vendor.
  • Completes the lawn and landscape maintenance
  • Takes care of sidewalk and entrance snow removal prior to office hours, if applicable.
  • Works as a backup to the Warehouse Manager in their absence.
  • Miscellaneous office maintenance.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Warehouse Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of construction material, equipment and tools also preferred.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Well organized, regular attendance, attention to details.
  • Good communication skills, ability to prioritize, work independently, and take initiative.
  • Must at least 18 years old.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, CDL Class A preferred or attain within 90 days of employment, and a good driving record.
