The City of Peshtigo has waited for two years to break ground on the addition and renovation to their Fire Station No. 1, and yesterday's groundbreaking ceremony marked the long-awaited start to the project.
Since 2021, the City has been working on grants to fund the much needed and well deserved expansion. The addition to the Fire Station will add two new apparatus bays and provide room for renovation to offices, specialty spaces for the Fire and Police Departments, storage space, and more. These updated spaces will help City Hall, the Fire Department, Police Department, and Library continue to provide services to the over 3,600 residents that they serve.
The City of Peshtigo is dedicated to its people, which is evident from the moment you enter their existing building. The addition and renovation to the Fire Station No. 1 will help all the employees inside its walls to continue their mission and expand their deep, rich history in the area.
